Grant Strategy

Before we put ideas into action, an initial planning and strategy session allows us to understand more about your organisation. Through this process, we endeavour to learn about your goals, what makes your organisation unique, and the initiatives that require funding.

Grant Alignment

We work closely with our clients to develop strong, tailored grant responses that align with their goals. While we don’t actively search for grants, we are always ready to assist when a client brings an opportunity to us. We work to understand the eligibility criteria, submission requirements, and ensure that the project and organisation meet the necessary qualifications when applying.

Grant Writing

Our grant writing services are designed to shine your organisation in the best possible light, ensuring it stands out to potential funders. Combining our experience and a clear understanding of the funder’s program guidelines, our team gets to work crafting your application.

How it Works

Our six-step process

Get in touch to start your grant

Get Started

Step 1: Identify Approach

We take the time to understand your organisation, your eligibility, and the funder’s program guidelines. From there, our grant writing experts work with you to identify approaches that have the highest chance of a funded outcome.

Step 2: Strategy

We break down your grant application into small, actionable steps. Assigning timeframes for each step ensures that the project is completed on time, and nothing is missed along the way.

Step 3: Research

The research phase is about gathering all relevant information and available data to support your case for funding. As part of the process and where necessary, we can conduct secondary research and investigations to bolster your application.

Step 4: Drafting

The drafting phase involves setting a clear outline for the proposal and creating a comprehensive breakdown of the budget. During the drafting phase, we need to ensure that your proposal aligns with the funder’s requirements and clearly demonstrates the value of the project.

Step 5: Review

The grant application is reviewed with you prior to submission to ensure that the information and details accurately reflect your vision and align with the funder's requirements.

Step 6: Submission

Once we’ve got all of our ducks in a row, we will lodge the application through an online application portal (where applicable) and ensure the required documents and forms are submitted correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

For most organisations, knowing which grants they are eligible to apply for and how they can apply can be a bit of a grey area. In almost all cases, the grant will outline a clear eligibility criteria and service scope that can be used to determine funding eligibility and servicing capability.

As grant writers, we can help organisations to interpret guidelines and determine whether or not their organisational and funding objectives meet the funder’s guidelines.

Our team brings extensive experience and focus to the grant writing process. Developing a quality grant response requires significant intellectual and time investment—resources that many organisations simply don’t have. As grant writers, we dedicate ourselves entirely to crafting your grant response, which allows us to deliver a well-rounded and compelling application.

Our approach and process to grant writing has been through countless hours of experience. We’ve accumulated thousands of hours of expertise across various sectors. By working with our team, you gain access to this specialised knowledge, allowing your application to stand out.

We take a collaborative approach to grant writing that ensures the best possible outcome (funding!) for your organisation. We will ask questions about your organisation, your history, what makes you unique, and your funding goals. We may also require supporting materials and data to support your application.

The Challenge
The Challenge

selectability identified a critical need in the Burdekin region for accessible mental health and suicide prevention services. The organisation had purchased the iconic but unused Caledonian Hall in Ayr, with a vision to transform it into a mental health hub and suicide prevention safe haven.

The Solution
The Solution

Enablen worked closely with selectability to develop a comprehensive funding application for the Queensland Government's Community Infrastructure Investment Partnership (CIIP) program. Our team:

  • Analysed the CIIP program objectives and guidelines to ensure strong alignment between the funding criteria and selectability's project;
  • Developed a detailed project plan demonstrating how the renovation would create a multi-purpose facility offering vital community services;
  • Built a compelling case showing how the project would address critical mental health needs and support employment in the region;
  • Prepared comprehensive documentation including budgets, timelines and evidence of community support.
The Outcome
The Outcome

selectability successfully secured $808k in CIIP funding to transform the Caledonian Hall into a modern mental health facility. This funding enabled:

  • Complete renovation of the facility with full disability access;
  • Creation of consultation rooms for counselling services;
  • Establishment of training rooms for mental health and community services qualifications;
  • Development of spaces for group programs and community activities;
  • Installation of modern amenities including a commercial kitchen.
